Hello, and welcome to my website. 

 

My name is Mark Groote, and I am your Central Ward Councillor in the City of Prospect.

This is my third term on Prospect Council, and I'm often asked what interests me in being part of the council.

​

I love being part of the community in this way - being able to help shape and influence what we do in our great city, and connect to residents, businesses, and the many organisations in our area.

​

I've always said that I want to be part of a council that listens, considers and responds in the community’s best interest, with development that makes sense, provides housing choice, and makes people feel good about where they live.  

 

Council should be responsible managers of your funds, including spending it on making the community a better place for everyone, and engage people from across the area.

 

Our public spaces must encourage people to use them, be family friendly, and above all, safe.
